About CREDAI Chennai

Our Research and Analysis wing is the first of its kind in the real estate industry of India. RAW Chennai was conceptualised with the vision to provide all its stakeholders constant access to authentic data. Data that equips homebuyers with real time statistics to make informed decisions. The information age has granted us access to information at the click of a button. Dissemination of information has become increasingly effortless. However, with this liberty and ease to share data, comes the disadvantage of inaccuracy. The real estate industry has been bearing the brunt of this for the past few years. On the 11th of May 2020 our President Padam Dugar (RAW -Vice Chairman) and President Elect Sivagurunathan (RAW – Chairman) resolutely decided to nip this in the bud by gleaning and collating data from the most reliable, unbiased and authentic sources such as TNRERA. This marked the birth of RAW Chennai.

The Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India (CREDAI) is the apex body for the real estate industry of India. Real estate contributes to almost 10% of our nation’s GDP and is the second-largest source of employment in India. According to data released by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade Policy (DPIIT), construction is the fourth largest sector in terms of FDI inflow. FDI in the sector stood at US$ 42.50 billion from April 2000 to March 2020.
